Let the Transformation Begin

Literally this post is just me brainstorming about what I want to accomplish over the next 100 days. It's scrambled and unorganized, but that's okay. I have to start somewhere! To document this transformation and the changes I will be making, I am going to blog about it on this personal blog so that I can track my progress.

I will be posting pictures, as well as writing about my feelings. My hope is that this blog will be a place I can go, similar to my journal, to express whatever is on my mind, to talk about my strengths, weaknesses, hopes, dreams, failures, struggles, and really just have an outlet. It won’t be glamorous; there might be multiple type-o’s and errors, but it’s just for me to read, so I’m ok with that.

The two words I will be focusing on during the next 100 days are transformation & consistency.

TRANSFORMATION = A thorough or dramatic change in form or appearance.

CONSISTENCYacting or done in the same way over time, especially so as to be fair or accurate.

This transformation begins on Wednesday, August 23, 2017.
100 day mark is December 1, 2017.

The main focus of this transformation is my $$$  FINANCES!  $$$  Health is included, but finances are my #1 priority.

Things I will do consistently over the next 100 days:

-stay under my budget, use cash for everything!
-Review my budget every morning
-Not swipe credit cards
-Not buy any food from a fast food or sit-down restaurant. No exceptions. Food comes from grocery stores or my kitchen.

Money plan:
START CASH BUDGET TODAY, 8/23.
Hide credit cards
No eating out.. stay at home and cook, or go get sonic water if a friend really wants to go out.
Save $1,000 Emergency Fund
Debt snowball (Dave Ramsey)
Listen to one youtube video, podcast, or something everyday about finances. READ BLOGS!
Pay off all credit cards.
Make a vision board.
Pay off ipad and cancel service.
Pay off cell phone and switch to AT&T (use January financial aid)

Random Idea: When I want to eat out, take a nap, skip my workout, order food, etc…open up blog and begin writing. JUST WRITE ANYTHING!

But WHY? Why am I doing this? Without a well-defined why, this won't last and I'll give up.

Here's why I'm doing this:
- I want to be a good wife/mother who teaches my children to save their money. I can't teach what I don't practice.
-90% of all divorces are caused by money problems. I DON'T WANT MONEY PROBLEMS TO AFFECT MY MARRIAGE.
-The Lord has asked us to live within our means and not live in debt.
-I can't sleep well at night.
-I want financial freedom.
-I want to be able to give more to those in need, not wonder how I'll make my credit card payment at the end of the month.
-I want to be an example to my friends and family.
-I want to live debt free because I know it'll be one less thing to stress about and give my family the freedom to do the things we enjoy as well as pay for emergencies that WILL come up.

*Random Idea - Break life up into 100 day increments! But be constantly improving during each 100 days. SO, after these 100 days are up, maybe focus on health as #1 priority, and then during the next 100 days, focus everything on spirituality, etc. Pick a new topic for each 100 day block.
